NETWORK OF SUPPORT AND COOPERATION FOR VICTIMS AND WITNESSES OF CRIMINAL OFFENCES

Nobody is ever prepared to become a victim or witness of a criminal offence. That is why support in these circumstances is exceptionally important.

If you are not sure how responding to a court order or refusing to testify will affect you, how long the court proceedings could take, whether you can have company, what a courtroom looks like, how you can redeem travelling expenses, or if you have any other questions or concerns – do not hesitate to contact us. Even if you are not Croatian citizen and you were a victim or a witness of criminal offence on the territory of Republic of Croatia, contact us for help and support. It takes only one click (on the Croatia map below) to find out where in your County you can get free information, counseling, and assistance (by phone, e-mail, or by personal visit):

  • emotional and practical support, technical and practical information, and information on your rights,
  • psychosocial and legal counseling,
  • escort to court,
  • escort to the police, State Attorney’s Office and/or Centers for Social Care,
  • support if you have not reported a criminal offence,
  • support after the end of the court process.
